In addition to his expertise in root canal treatment, endodontic retreatment, and trauma management, Ray is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Root canal treatment

Root canal treatment has a high success rate, up to 90 per cent. The procedure can relieve severe tooth pain and save the natural tooth from extraction, allowing patients to maintain their oral health and smile.

Complex dental cases

Endodontists are skilled in handling complex dental cases, such as teeth with multiple canals, narrow or blocked canals, or teeth with unusual anatomy. Your dentist may refer you to an endodontist for such cases.

Root canal retreatment

If a tooth that has had a previous root canal treatment develops issues again, your dentist may refer you to an endodontist for re-treatment or assessment of the problem.

Endodontic surgery

Occasionally we are not able to resolve your endodontic issue with non-surgical root canal treatment. In rare cases, we may perform surgical procedures related to the root of the tooth, such as apicoectomy (surgical removal of the root tip) or root-end resection.

Cracked teeth

Cracked teeth can be challenging to detect. Endodontists are experts in diagnosing and treating cracked teeth.

Dental trauma

If you've experienced dental trauma, such as a severe injury to your teeth or supporting structures, an endodontist may be involved in evaluating and treating the affected tooth.
